Melissa Hendricks joined Cerner in 2005 and currently serves as Vice President of Marketing Strategy, overseeing marketing and the communications team for the $3.4 billion, Kansas City-based health care technology company. Her responsibilities include stewardship of the company brand, earned and social media, industry partnerships, market intelligence and internal communication. In addition, her team led the rebranding of Cerner’s corporate identity including the redesign of the logo and tagline.

Prior to joining Cerner, she held marketing and sales roles with increasing responsibility at Cadbury Schweppes, Schering Plough and the Dairy Farmers of America. With more than 20 years of experience driving results, she has built effective engagement strategies which have helped health IT executives achieve more accurate and desirable outcomes.

Melissa is also active in the local community, sitting on the Marketing Advisory Board for the University of Missouri-Kansas City, a board member for Boys Hope Girls Hope and a member of the marketing committee for Children’s TLC. She earned her bachelor’s in speech communication and Spanish minor from the University of Missouri-Columbia. She also holds a master’s degree in business administration from Rockhurst University.
